Welcome to our World of Warcraft Healer Rankings updated for the current Battle for Azeroth (BfA) Patch 8.3 “Visions of N'zoth” as well as the latest Raid – Ny’alotha. We review the data every day just to make sure it is correct and up to date. The classes and specs here are ranked by their overall HPS (Healing Per Second) performance in PvE (Raids & Mythic+ Dungeons) for characters of Level 120. We also maintain BfA DPS Rankings and BfA Tank Rankings – you can check them out as well.

Holy Paladin
Discipline Priest
Holy Priest
Restoration Druid
Restoration Shaman
Mistweaver Monk

Actual numbers from several trustworthy sources, including Warcraft Logs and Simulationcraft, confirm the data shown here. By using the complex combination approach of numerous simulations as well as real Logs of Top 1% of the Best Players of each class and spec, we can evaluate the central tendency of the whole data set whilst still recognizing statistical dispersion to show you the most accurate bar graph.

While such metrics have always been simply representative of the maximum potential HPS, you can still use them to analyze the output of your class/spec (such as what kind of performance you can expect from it) as well as to discover who is the Top Healer in WoW now.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Best Healer class in WoW?
You can judge for yourself by examining the list above. Statistically speaking, the Top 3 Classes here would be a safe pick when you are aiming to achieve maximum healing efficiency. But do not be frustrated if your class or spec is not high-ranking at this moment – you can still excel with it if you know what you are doing.
How frequently is this Rating updated?
We are well aware that dated information is of no use. And this is why we thoroughly check these stats every day just to ensure that they are authentic and we always tweak them whenever something happens to change. At the top of this page, you can see the dates of both events.
Are these Simcraft or Logs-based Healer Rankings?
Actually both. And even more. Our method includes running thousands of simulations with Simulationcraft (an open-source tool that allows us to estimate the healing output in various circumstances) and using resources like Raidbots and Bloodmallet to investigate specific gear combinations. Then we compare our results with the data gathered from genuine in-game logs from each class' Top Players (for this purpose, we check world leaderboards from sources including Raider.io as well as WoWProgress). Through integrating both quantitative and mathematical evidence, we seek to minimize deviation associated with human factors (for example, poorly performing players) while retaining a tight link to realistic conditions - because many characteristics need to be addressed if we want to come up with reliable results. Last but not least, we also track player communities like those of Reddit, Method, Icy Veins, Wowhead and of course the official Blizzard World of Warcraft Forums to always be aware of popular sentiment so that we can determine whether our current data is true.
Are lower-ranked classes uncompetitive?
Not always. These kinds of rankings are intended to highlight common patterns, however, in particular in-game situations lots of variables could interject, and thus the lowest-scoring class/spec may ultimately end up becoming Top #1 Healer in raid/group. It all depends.
